Family Resource Connector

At the Ukrainian American Community Center, the Family Resource and Basic Assistance Program helps newly arrived Ukrainians adapt to life in the United States.

One of the key figures in this initiative is Nataliia Savina, who serves as a Family Resource Connector. Her primary mission is to ensure families facing challenging circumstances have access to essential services.

How Do We Help?

The program offers a wide range of support, including:
✔ Employment – assistance with job search and resume preparation.
✔ English language courses – information on available learning programs.
✔ Affordable housing – support in finding rental options.
✔ Medical insurance – consultation on healthcare programs.
✔ Working with official correspondence – help with document completion and communication with government agencies.
Submitting applications for the “UBNS” program, which provides financial support to Ukrainians in difficult situations.

Community Engagement and Cultural Integration

Beyond basic assistance, the program actively supports newly arrived Ukrainians in establishing connections within the community. We link them to social groups, mentorship programs, cultural events, and educational resources.

Every Friday, the Center holds seminars for newcomers, covering crucial topics such as employment, education, healthcare, transportation, taxes, and other essential aspects of life in the U.S. These sessions not only provide valuable information but also create opportunities to build relationships, expand networks, and find support during the transition process.

We also organize cultural events, concerts, and educational workshops, helping Ukrainians preserve their identity while integrating into American society.

If you need assistance or want to learn more about the opportunities offered by our Center, reach out to Nataliia Savina – she is always ready to support you on your journey to adaptation!
